Event description

Description

“It’s time to turn the machines over to women.”

The end of male-managed mechanisms is nigh. Or is it?

In a time when issues of gender equity and diversity are being thrust to the fore, it's no surprise that the evolving role of women in a predominantly male industry will be a point of contention. It is a well-known fact that women are just as capable as men when it comes to working in STEM. Now is the perfect time to discuss whether it's time for women to take the wheel, and our panelists are ready to tell you exactly why or why not.

Start the evening half of the Women in Data Science Conference with Networking Drinks, and be treated with another keynote address by Anita Sood - Software Developer and Next Generation Partnership Lead of Microsoft - in the lead up to the debate.

Set in the style of Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Great Debate series, join us in this light-hearted Great Debate, revel in the entertainment of the panelists' unexpected take on presenting their arguments, and end your night as part of the Women in Data Science Sydney Conference on a high note.

VENUE TBA

Please Note: Registrants who wish to attend both the Conference and the Debate must register for both events. This registration is for the Evening Session of the Women in Data Science Sydney Conference.
