About the speaker:

Lisa Gorman founded the Gorman brand in 1999, as a one-woman operation from her share house with her sewing machine.

Holding down 2 additional jobs across the 5 years to follow wasn’t just about funding the start-up, it was also a time to explore different career options and test her craft as a business concept

These projects opened up ideas and activities around working together as a community, from individuals to businesses, to celebrate diversity and learn in some very interesting and unique ways that have a ripple effect well beyond the collection itself.

After 23 years at the helm of the Gorman Brand, Lisa has moved on to pursue her other passions, including sculpture, a research project and yoga teaching and in 2023 Lisa stepped into the role of Creative Director at Kikki K.

Lisa will share how collaboration became the key ingredient behind the success of the iconic Gorman brand and how this approach continues to drive innovation and authenticity in her current role at Kikki.K.
