Your SDSC Representatives are excited to announce the final Wine, Cheese & Wisdom event for 2016. Wine, Cheese & Wisdom nights are an opportunity for students to interact with SDSC's leading professors in a relaxed and intimate setting. On October 13 we are fortunate enough to have Major General Stephen Day, DSC, AM, speaking to us about his career, as well as giving students the chance to ask him questions.
Major General Day is a highly renowned and very senior member of the Australian Defence community. He was Deputy Operations Officer of the Multi National Force- Iraq, which was a force of over 400,000, and Chief of Plans for ISAF Joint Command in Afghanistan for a force in excess of 100,000. In 2010 Major General Day was appointed as Head of Joint Capability and Coordination, before moving on to the roles of Coordinator of the Australian Cyber Security Centre, and Deputy Director Cyber and Information Security at the Australian Signal Directorate (ASD). He has had a long and illustrious career and we will certainly benefit from the wisdom he can impart.
This is an incredible opportunity for undergraduate students and as there are only 25 tickets available, make sure you register. Due to the intimate setting and limited number of tickets available, we ask that you only register if you are absolutely sure you can make it. If, after registering for a ticket, you cannot make it on the night, please contact Thea or Sophie at the email addresses below.
If you have any queries please contact Thea at firstname.lastname@example.org or Sophie at email@example.com.
Dress code: smart casual.
Please note: Wine, Cheese and Wisdom is conducted under Chatham House Rules.
