You're invited to Wine and Crime with Ben's Book Club, a crime fiction literary dinner at Darling & Co. Join us for an evening of delicious food and great conversation as talented writers discuss their latest crime novels. The author panel includes lawyer Joanna Jenkins whose novel How To Kill a Client exposes the dark secrets of Brisbane's legal fraternity; Toowoomba psychologist Georgia Harper who imagines a frightening near future in her debut novel What I Would Do To You; and charming farmer Michael Trant from WA with his superb third novel No Trace which is set in the Pilbara. Brisbane author, podcaster and book club host Ben Hobson will interview the authors and talk about his historical thriller The Death of John Lacey.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Please park in the carpark under the building and catch the elevator to the ground floor. The elevator doors open right outside the Garden Room.

Can you accommodate my dietary requirements?

Of course. Please advise us of your dietary requirements when you book your ticket.

Is there free parking?

Yes. There is free undercover parking beneath the hotel. Staff will write your rego down as you enter the Garden Room. There is also ample free street parking in the neighbourhood behind the premises.

The Brisbane Crime Fiction Literary Dinner Series is the initiative of a group of local crime writers. The aim is to celebrate crime fiction, connect readers and writers, and create a relaxing and interesting evening that brings booklovers together. Dinner, books, a nice drink and a great conversation is a winning combination!
