About this event

  • 3 hours 30 minutes

Discover your inner fire with the Wim Hof Method!

What is the Wim Hof Method?

The Wim Hof Method is a way to tap into the hidden power of oxygen and cold exposure; two natural resources that used to be part of our everyday lives throughout most of our evolutionary history, but that have been almost completely lost to the comforts of modern society.

With the WHM you can unlock the potential inside yourself and open the door to an array of health benefits.

Learn about the 3 pillars that the method consists of; Breathing, Cold Exposure & Commitment... and how these pillars unlock a multitude of benefits;

  • Boosts the immune system
  • Reduces Inflammation
  • Reduces anxiety and stress levels
  • Boosts mood and energy
  • Improves sport performance
  • Improves quality of sleep

What you get

  • WHM explained
  • Max's story
  • Deep guided breathwork and meditation
  • Breakfast and coffee
  • Stretch and release taken by Lu from Geelong Pilates Studio
  • Ice bath experience (optional)
  • A safe, supportive and fun environment
  • A set of skills you can utilise for life.

You will be guided by certified instructor Max Rooke as he reveals the techniques, theory and tools required to make the WHM part of your daily habits. The session will be complimented with a Pilates body stretch.

Who is this workshop for?

Suitable for everyone, but does require a basic level of health. Out of precaution we advise against participation during pregnancy, or if you are epileptic. People with cardiovascular issues or any other serious health conditions should always consult a medical professional before practising the Wim Hof Method.

How to Prepare

If you have no prior experience with cold exposure, it is recommended that you prepare yourself in the week leading up to the workshop by ending your daily shower with cold water. This may be overwhelming at first but try to relax and focus on your breathing and soon you will be able to extend the time of exposure - see if you can start with 10 seconds and slowly build from there each day.

Before you arrive

  • Please make sure you have your ticket ready to show on arrival, on your phone or printed off.
  • It is recommended for best results that you fast before the workshop, however if you must have something, keep it light.

What to bring

  • Comfy clothes, layers are a good idea.
  • Something to wear in the water and a towel.
  • You may want to bring a pillow for comfort during the breathwork session - if you tend to have lower back issues, a pillow under your knees can be really helpful. **Mats and blankets are provided.
  • An open mind:)
