Wikipedia, China, and knowledge sharing: a hands-on wiki-editing workshop

In this workshop we will investigate the various efforts to represent China on Wikipedia and think through the problems of sharing knowledge about China from outside the nation’s borders, and in non-Chinese languages. We will learn how a page is created, investigating how pages are edited and uploaded, while also exploring the debates and disagreements that continue to shape China-related pages on Wikipedia.
