Jessie will teach you how to see beyond the photographed inspiration, pulling through surreal vivid colours, exaggerating textural markings and rhythmic movement.You will be guided to create an abstract depiction of nature, as the landscape helps navigate your lived experience within it.
Bring along your image of a landscape, beach scape or moment in nature to use as your inspiration. Familiarity and personal connection to a place will help strengthen the artwork.
Leave with a beautoful 50 x 60cm canvas painting and various paper studies filled with learnt practices and techniques.
This class is for artists in early career stages on a journey to finding their artistic style or artists who are looking to push out of the comfort of their usual practice.
