Dismissing an employee because they are incapable of performing their job due to illness or injury is tough for all involved. From a legal perspective, there are many pitfalls which, if not carefully managed, may expose an employer to liability.

This lunchtime briefing will discuss the do's and don'ts of dismissing employees who have become incapable of performing their job due to injury or illness.

The briefing will explain common mistakes that employers and HR Managers make in these situations. We will also provide practical strategies employers and HR Managers can use to protect themselves from successful claims of unfair dismissal, general protections or discrimination.
