An opportunity for both job seekers and businesses to connect and discuss available employment opportunities.

About this event

What to expect

This free jobs expo is designed to help connect job seekers with potential local employers. It is open to all job seekers from school leavers to mature aged job seekers, to inspire you, help improve your job seeking skills and knowledge about local businesses, emerging industries and training options.

On the day there will be live demonstrations with onsite industry tools and some hands on workshops. You will also be able to seek help with resumes and how to meet people, find contacts in your industry. There will even be a jobs board with 100s of jobs available. If you have a job you wish to host on the jobs board, please submit the details here.

Food, coffee and refreshments will be available and please make yourself aware of transport opportunities available.

  • All exhibitors will receive a table, 2 chairs and space to promote their business (2 banners maximum)

9.55 am Official Opening/ Acknowledgement of Country - Mayor Angela Evans, Mayor Claire Boan, Andrea Michaels MP for Enfield

10.30 am – 11.00 am - What employers want: an insight into today's workforce needs with (Carmen Garcia)

11.00 am – 11.30 am - Apprenticeships & Traineeships – What are they and how do I get one (with MAS/MEGT)

12.00 pm – 1.00 pm Lunch - Amazing Race - The 5 steps to your career

1.15 pm – 1.45 pm - Tips and Tricks in Getting a Job – aimed at helping jobseekers overcome barriers to gaining employment (with Sharon Clarke)

2.00 pm – 2.30 pm - What Employers Want – hear from employers about their current vacancies and how they recruit staff Employer Panel (facilitated by Sharon Clarke)

2.45 pm – 3.15 pm - Dress for Your Job Success (with Jo Puplett,)

3.30 pm – 4.00 pm - Careers in the Defence Force (with Defence Force Recruiting)

5.00 pm Close

School Registrations

Upon registering please enter the teacher names and include the number of accompanying students.

Photography, video and social media will be undertaken at the event for marketing purposes. Please let the photographer know if you do not wish to have your photo taken.

Our COVID Safe Plan

There are changes to the way we conduct events due to COVID-19. Please do not enter if you are unwell, symptomatic for COVID19, have tested positive for COVID19 or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID19.

We will ask you to confirm your contact details and health status on entering the event. Please adhere to social distancing and physical contact restrictions. Masks will be required.

We will be guided by current restrictions and in the event that current guidelines change we will simply move the event to a later date and let you know.

A. We are happy to take into account any specific dietary requirements you may have, just indicate these on your order form.

A. The Lights Community and Sports Centre is located at 244 - 270 East Parkway Corner Hampstead Road and, East Pkwy, Lightsview SA 5085.

Free parking is available directly outside the venue.

Q. What Bus Stops are near by?

A. Directly outside the venue is Bus Stop 24 East Pkwy - North side

On the other side of Hampstead Road (on the West side) is Stop 24 Hampstead Rd - West side
