WA Primary Care Support Staff Workshops 2025/2026

Suicide Prevention Workshops for Primary Care Support Staff across Western Australia. 
These are delivered in partnership with the WA Primary Health Alliance for frontline staff at General Practices and Allied Health Services.

<h3><strong><strong>11.00am arrival for registrations and networking, training to start at 11.30am.</strong></strong></h3><h3>Light Lunch provided.</h3><h3><br></h3><h3><strong><strong>Suicide Prevention Training</strong></strong></h3><p>With a 30-year history of suicide prevention support to the Australian community, Wesley LifeForce offers training that is developed from evidence-based expertise in the Australian community and with input from Australian General Practitioners (GP's), General Practice Nurses and Practice Managers.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong><strong>Refresh your skills</strong></strong></h3><p>Our specialised programs are designed to equip you with leading methodologies and strategies in suicide prevention. To keep abreast of new developments, our programs are regularly reviewed by our national Advisory Board, consisting of leading Australian researchers and practitioners in the field.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong><strong>Skills training for primary care support staff</strong></strong></h3><p>As part of practice accreditation your staff are required to be able to triage patients. This workshop enables you to develop a strategy or protocol to meet the needs of your general practice</p><ul><li>2-hour tailored seminar</li><li>build awareness and skill staff to recognise "at risk" signs, and to respond appropriately.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>This training is suitable for:</p><ul><li>Practice Manager</li><li>Practice Nurse</li><li>Practice Staff</li><li>Any team member working with patients</li></ul><h2><br></h2><h3><strong><strong>Ensuring participant safety</strong></strong></h3><p>All workshop material is specifically designed with participant’s safety in mind. Our course material is vetted by MindFrame – an Australian Government body which provides expert advice to the Suicide Prevention Sector on responsible reporting/portrayal of the issue of suicide.</p><p><br></p>
