Course Synopsis

Join our visiting tutor Cees Sliedrecht for a two-day workshop focusing on the portrait, the figure and the outdoors. Your sketching adventure will begin in our art studio in the Toowoomba CBD and then on foot exploring the surrounds with pens and paper in hand.

On the first day, the class will cover figure drawing using refence hand-outs. Guided by the tutor, students will complete a portrait using pen, pencil and watercolour. Then in preparation for the next day they will prepare for sketching people in the landscape.

On the second day, after covering some drawing techniques in the studio, students and tutor will be going outdoors to do some sketching around our training room, buildings and finding people. On return we will be adding colour and receiving feedback on the work done. Yes a busy 2 days but it will be very much worth it!

Everybody is welcome! See you there, Cees Sliedrecht
