For the past few decades, Chris Hewson has held a variety of roles in which he actively built companies, developed creative design resources for startup brands, invested in startups and worked closely with Melbourne Universities and Colleges promoting creation of innovative thinking capabilities and incubators.

Chris has been in the business of commercialising innovative business ideas for the last 25 years. He has a wealth of experience in business startups and knows first-hand how difficult it is to move from a great idea to a great business. A design and innovation practitioner with more than a decade of established success formulating products, services, processes, and strategies to fuel new waves of growth for clients, he successfully brings a new perspective for the growth of any business.

He is currently founder of a digital design business [www.inthewhiteroom.com.au] that make startups and entrepreneurs more visible through tactical design. His business successfully partners with leading startups [many of the businesses he invests in] to make them more valuable through design by combining the extensive skills of a team of designers with the agility of a tech-forward startup. He believes that design done well can take your business to new heights, spelling the difference between revenue and profit, stagnancy and growth.

Chris has spent many years in business startups or turnarounds, working with fantastic people, investors, mentors, and other professionals in new businesses. He has a passion for supporting new businesses, and getting involved as a design and user experience consultant.
