Description
The Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) and Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) are valuable data resources with untapped potential to identify and monitor patterns of health service use and inform health service planning.
The Sax Institute invites you to attend a webinar series of our seminar Working with MBS and PBS data. Over three weekly sessions (120 minutes duration each) participants will receive an introduction to datasets, advice on dealing with some of their specific characteristics, and view worked examples of how they can be used.
Who should attend?
This introductory seminar will be of interest to researchers, policymakers and health service/program planning teams new to working with MBS and PBS data. The seminar is designed for those planning to use Sax Institute’s 45 and Up Study or similar for linked data research and those interested in driving policy and practice change.
Mode of delivery
This seminar is run entirely online, making it accessible to researchers, policymakers and health service/program planning teams across both rural and suburban Australia.
Session times:
This course will run over three weekly sessions:
- Session One: Tuesday 12 March (3:00–5:00pm)
- Session Two: Tuesday 19 March (3:00–5:00pm)
- Session Three: Tuesday 26 March (3:00–5:00pm)
