Specifications are key to ensure that concrete structures meet all the design and service life requirements.Concrete specifications have traditionally been specified prescriptively, for example by defining the minimum cement content and maximum water-to-cement ratio to provide durability for the required service life. While the prescriptive specification paradigm has pros around simplicity and broad acceptance, it represents a level of rigidity and other drawbacks.Lately, we have been increasingly hearing calls for the greater use of performance-based specifications to progress the development and use of innovative and sustainable concrete technologies. Join our panel of industry experts on Thursday, 8 June 2023 as we discuss the pro and cons of performance-based specification for concrete, and associated sectoral barriers to innovation with material performance, durability, risk management and other topics. This webinar is a first step to explore the topic of performance-based specifications futher. Following the panel dicussion, we will schedule an Industry Challenge Workshop to capture the specific blockers and problem types that prevent industry to move to and adopt performance-based specifications more broadly. To participate in the workshop, please express your interest <a href="https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/e9f081b2e7cb434e9a1824cc56865127" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here. </a>Please note that the workshop has been designed for industry. We will engage and brief the research community seperately.Speakers•	<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/clare-tubolets-09944556/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Clare Tubolets</a>, SmartCrete CRC•	<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/jasonnairn1967/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jason Nairn</a>, Cement, Concrete and Aggregates Australia•	<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/bruce-perry-03406043/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bruce Perry</a>, Cement Australia •	<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-kelly-7b903a1b3/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">David Kelly</a>, Transport for NSW •	<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-kelly-7b903a1b3/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/robert-sobyra/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Robert Soybra</a>, Australian Constructors Association<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-kelly-7b903a1b3/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>
