About this event

Please note: this event is run by the Small Business Development Corporation for small business owners in Western Australia only.

This advanced session will help you plan and prepare your entrepreneurial career path. Although it builds on the essential skills introduced in Entrepreneurial Skills for Women, it is not essential that you attend that topic first.

It is aimed at any women in business, or work, who wish to balance their physical and mental wellbeing while navigating the complex business environment. In this interactive session you will cover a wide range of entrepreneurial topics, provide opportunities to take part in hands-on activities and contribute to seminar discussions around best practice.

This topic involves hands-on activities covering

  • Discovering the concept of '21 day sprints';
  • Understanding personal values and growth mindset;
  • Developing and reviewing strategic business models;
  • Understanding entrepreneurial marketing and business growth strategies;
  • Devising 90 day and 1 year plans.

This session is aimed at women who are, or thinking of becoming, a small business owner. It will also be of interest to those who more generally wish to grow their entrepreneurial mindset.

There is no requirement to attend Entrepreneurial Skills for Women (Part 1) before attending this session.

The facilitator for this topic, ECU, is ranked Australia's top public university for 'Business and Management' in quality of educational experience, teaching quality, skill development, and student support. With course content developed in consultation with industry groups and the latest theory with hands-on, practical experiences it a great option to build your professional skills and knowledge.

This session is presented by the SBDC, the only agency in the Western Australian Government dedicated to helping small business. In fact, we've been providing practical support to small business owners for more than 30 years.

Additional information for online workshop sessions

Please check your computer's suitability for online workshops, including its sound quality, browser, internet bandwidth and speed and video plugins (if required) before the start of the online workshop session. Camera and microphone capabilities are recommended to interact with online workshops.

Our online workshops are run as live, interactive sessions, similar to the format of our face-to-face sessions. For this reason, there is a limited number of tickets per session so our presenters can adequately interact with, and respond to, attendees. Recordings of these live sessions are not available if you do not attend the live event time.
