Baluk Arts is excited to celebrate the launch of children's book Weaving Country by authors Chris Joy and Wurundjeri elder Aunty Kim Wandin, and Noongar illustrator Ashleigh Pugh.
Weaving Country is a book about working together and sharing lessons from country. It shares Wurundjeri language.
We invite you to join us from 11am for refreshments (courtesy of Walker Books) and book signings. Aunty Kim and Chris will be holding an author talk and book reading. Come along and hear the traditional words spoken by Aunty Kim Wandin.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase in the gallery, thanks to the support of Stories by the Sea.
Original illustrations featured in the book will be on display in the gallery for you to view. Ashleigh will also have a small selection of original new artworks available for purchase.
