Event description
The Forum "Domestic and Family Violence and Disability" explores best practice service delivery to victims/survivors with disability.

About this Event

The Forum ‘Domestic and Family Violence and Disability’ will explore best practice service delivery to victims/survivors with disability impacted by domestic and family violence.

Legal Aid NSW is holding a full day conference on Wednesday, 31 July 2019 with the theme of Domestic and Family Violence and Disability. There is increasing awareness about the barriers faced by victims/survivors with disability in accessing domestic and family violence services. The Forum aims to examine these barriers, and discuss best practice responses. Speakers will be from a range of disciplines, including front-line service delivery, academic, government and non-government perspectives.

Tickets are free, but you need to register.

People with disability are encouraged to attend. The venue is generally accessible and entry level access is available from Mary St, Surry Hills. If you are attending the Forum and would like someone to meet you on the day, etc. or if you have further questions, please contact Anne Kelly by email at Anne.Kelly@legalaid.nsw.gov.au or by phone on (02) 9219 5106.
