Ever spotted a cat curled up in a sink or a flower pot and thought, “That’s oddly adorable”? Let’s paint it! 🐾
Join us for a relaxed and beginner-friendly watercolour session where quirky cats are the stars. Whether you’re new to art or just looking to unwind creatively, this class will guide you through painting charming feline scenes with step-by-step support.
✨ Learn how to:
– Sketch simple cat poses
– Use watercolour for fur textures and shadows
– Add playful details to pots, plants, or sinks
– Bring out the character in your cat with colour and expression
Expect lots of laughter, colourful paws, and stress-free painting.
No experience needed — purr-fect for total beginners!
🖼️ Workshop Agenda (2 Hours):
10:00am – Welcome & warm-up doodles
10:15am – Sketching quirky cat poses
10:30am – Step-by-step watercolour techniques: wet-on-dry, soft blending, fur texture
11:15am – Personalising your artwork with pots, sinks, and background details
11:45am – Share, reflect, and optional journaling prompt
12:00pm – Close & group photo (optional)

Location: Meet up at Level 1, The Between (Skybridge linking Emporium and Melbourne Central).

- Enter Melbourne Central via Swanston St, La Trobe St, or Elizabeth St.
- Head to Level 1 and find the CUE store (Shop 123/211 La Trobe St).
- Walk a little further down the corridor.
- You’ll see "The Between" Skybridge — a glass bridge linking Melbourne Central to Emporium Melbourne over Lonsdale Street.
We will provide the inspiration, or bring your favourite cat photo along.
