Event Information
About this event
Are you tired of watching online author talks by yourself? Want to meet with other book lovers? Why not get out of the house and join us at Parramatta Library to watch the live stream of the author talk on our big screen as part of the Sydney Writers Festival. Enjoy our complimentary water, popcorn and Tim Tams while watching a best selling Australian author talk about her latest book.
/Anita Heiss, award-winning author and proud member of the Wiradjuri Nation of Central NSW, discusses her latest novel Bila Yarrudhanggalangdhuray (River of Dreams). Based on true events, Bila Yarrudhanggalangdhuray is an enthralling portrayal of love, loss and belonging on Wiradjuri Country by the Murrumbidgee River – where dreams are either made or broken.
Anita is a Professor of Communications at the University of Queensland and an Ambassador for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation and the GO Foundation. She is currently adapting her novel Tiddas (Simon & Schuster, 2015) for the stage.
