Take a break from your caring role for some moderate exercise, adult conversation with other carers, and count your steps at the same time!
Being in nature, breathing fresh air, and walking at a moderate pace as a group is the aim. We will walk the full length of Cairns Esplanade – with flat and accessible paths all the way. The distance from our starting point to Cairns North and back again is approx 5km and could take 60-80 minutes walking at a moderate pace. Participants are welcome to join us for some or all of the distance. We recommend all who join us to be SunSmart, wear suitable footwear, and bring water.
We will meet 9:25 am on the path outside Mooz Gelato & Juice Bar, 5/2 Pier Point Rd, Cairns. Depending upon time, there is also an option to continue discussing our wellness goals at the café when we are done.
Please note: Walkways are wheelchair accessible. Walks will only occur when weather permits (no rain or high winds forecast).
