Ringwood Magistrates’ Court welcomes you to the "Walk In Their Shoes" Specialist Family Violence Court Tour.
This event is free and an interactive tour of the Specialist Family Violence Court, you will learn about the intervention order application process, how the court hears intervention order matters and specialist services and programs supporting families affected by violence.
On this tour you will learn from panel members including registrars, judiciary, family violence practitioners, Victoria Police, duty lawyer services and other support staff. You will learn about what is like for a court user going through a specialist family violence court.
This tour is ideal for professionals and students who are working with people affected by family violence.
Parking
There is parking available onsite at the courthouse via Bourke Street, once you park you must obtain a permit from court security who are located near the court entrance.
Alternatively, Eastland Shopping Centre is directly across from the court and offers free parking up to 3 hours. If you are parking at Eastland enter via the Ringwood Street entrance, then proceed to main traffic lights and cross the road to the courts main entrance.
