Wagga Wagga Launch fourW twenty-nine
Date and time
Description
Booranga Writers’ Centre celebrates almost three decades of publishing new writing that links the Wagga Wagga region with the world – with panache and verve – stretching the boundaries of writing in multi-layered, allusive writing that engages, challenges, seduces … Meet and hear writers read from their work.
Join us as we welcome Scott Howie to launch fourW twenty-nine in Wagga Wagga.
Scott has been contributing to the cultural landscape of the Riverina for over 18 years as an artist, arts educator and arts administrator.
Currently the Executive Director of Eastern Riverina Arts, Howie also maintains an artistic practice in durational performance, installation and theatre. Previously he has been a lecturer in theatre design at Charles Sturt University, the creative producer and manager at Griffith Regional Theatre, and the Artistic Director of Riverina Young People’s Theatre and his own company Jibshot.
The 2018 Booranga prize-winners for both poetry and prose will be announced.
The authors in attendance on the day will read their work from this year's publication.
Refreshments will be served.
