Elliot Heads waterways cleanup- Bundaberg area

Elliot Heads Bundaberg Clean Up Event:

Join our Hardcore Clean Up Crew to make a true difference to our waterways.

We need able bodied volunteers to help us clean up the Burnett River & surrounding areas.

Cruise along the mangrove lined river & fill our vessel with rubbish big (tyres, boat bits) & small (micro plastics).

This opportunity is NOT FOR KIDS.

You will need:

1) To wear clothes that cover you from top to tail. They will get wet and muddy.

2) Solid shoes suitable for getting wet. Gumboots are ideal.

3) Mozzie repellent, sunscreen, hat, water, snacks

4) Tolerance for manual labour- grrr! & bad jokes.

This is not "your every day" clean up, this is an Ocean Crusaders Clean Up. This is reality and we are seeking hard core volunteers to join us for a day or two. Average clean up day will see 500kg removed.

NB: You must book this using the Eventbrite link below & provide a mobile no: The event is FREE but we need to know you will show up. There are only 2 spots available per day & if you don't come other volunteers miss out & we don't get the help we need.

We will leave from the Riverview Boat Ramp, Elliot Heads at 0730. We return by 12:30pm.
