The 2026 VMBSG In-person Professional Development Seminars provide a platform for government entities to share industry updates with us.

VMBSG In-Person Professional Development Seminar

Come along to the first in the 2026 series of VMBSG Professional Development Seminars, to be held at Gippsland Performing arts Centre and hosted by Latrobe City Council, offering a platform for government entities and agencies to keep VMBSG members informed about industry developments.

Attending members will have the opportunity to receive updates from the State Building Surveyor, the Building Plumbing Commission, Fire Rescue Victoria, and more.

Note:

• This event is for VMBSG members, registered building practitioners and professionals within our industry.
• All participants must be pre-registered.
• Bags may be scanned by Latrobe City Council security prior to entry.
• Participants must be signed in by VMBSG reps at the door.

Venue: Gippsland Performing Arts Cente, 32 Kay Street, Traralgon

Arrival Time: Between 12:30pm and 1:00 pm

Training Commencement: 1.00 pm sharp

Networking Drinks and Finger Food : at a local location to be announced

To ensure we start on time, we ask that all participants arrive between 12:30pm and 1:55pm.

Parking: There is free on-street parking around the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre, however most bays are limited to 2 hours.

There is also free basement parking underneath the Arts Centre (entry off Grey Street), with accessible bays and lift access to the main entrance. Additional overflow and nearby street parking is available in streets such as Kay, Grey and Church, although some areas may have time limits or other restrictions.

Post meeting catchup:

After this meeting attendees are invited to reconvene at (at a local venue to be announced) with finger food supplied, and drinks at attendees’ own cost.
