Virtual Museum Tour – History of Protest Art
Join us for an immersive virtual museum tour exploring the history of protest art.
Join us for a virtual museum tour at MAP mima where the immersive 360-degree projection Cube is transformed into a gallery of artworks tracing the dynamic and controversial history of protest art throughout the world. Art has always been a powerful tool for social and political change, used by artists for centuries as symbols of resistance and commentaries or critiques of the world around them.
Our state-of-the-art 360-degree projection Cube will be transformed into a stunning gallery showcasing a diverse range of artistic practices that have been used to highlight injustices, question authority and circulate new ways of thinking. This immersive experience will explore the history and evolution of protest art, its ability to influence society, and how artists can both reflect and guide political and social movements. From ancient art to the anti-war movement to contemporary Street Art and the Black Lives Matter Movement, artists have used their artistic agency to challenge the status quo and inspire change.
