Virtual launch of Magnetic Particle Imaging at Monash University
Event Information
About this event
Discover cutting-edge imaging technology
Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) is a new non-invasive imaging technique with significantly increased sensitivity over MRI and faster acquisition times than PET and MRI.
The MPI capability at the Alfred Research Alliance - Monash Biomedical Imaging site is the world’s first MPI system with Computed Tomography (CT) and Hyperthermia capabilities. It provides unique capabilities that open the door to cutting-edge opportunities for interdisciplinary projects in medical research, chemistry and biotechnology.
The MPI system was funded by the Australian Government through the Australian Research Council with contributions from Monash University and RMIT University.
Webinar
The webinar will involve:
- the MPI system supplier, Magnetic Insight, discussing the world first technology and its potential; and
- presentations from key researchers outlining MPI applications and the benefits of utilising the technology.
A Zoom link to attend the virtual event and webinar will be included with your order confirmation and in the reminder emails sent to you before the event.
View the MPI launch brochure for more information about the event, including the order of proceedings, speakers and MPI technology.
