Welcome to the La Trobe University family!
Congratulations once again on your offer to study with us.
Come and meet Elio D'Ercole, your first year Academic Advisor. Elio will work with you and assist you to navigate your first 12 months in your course. Together you will work through a wide range of events, everything from choosing and enrolling in subjects, academic support and recovery, to goal setting and time management.
Getting started at Uni, and the enrolment process, can sometimes be a little tricky. That's why these sessions are a great place to start.
Our Enrolment Information Sessions are presented in two parts:
1. Support at La Trobe (On Demand) – to be viewed prior to attending the live session.
This will introduce you to the supports available at La Trobe, along with systems information required for the below workshop.
2. Enrolment Workshop (Live, Online) – ensure you have access to a laptop or pc (not a phone).
You will learn how to interpret the handbook, understand your course structure, create your own study plan guide, enrol into your subjects, and understand how to build your timetable.
You must watch ‘Support at La Trobe’ prior to attending the Live Enrolment Workshop.
At the workshop, you’ll also have the chance to meet some of your fellow students, and to book in with your Academic Advisor for your first one-on-one meeting.
This is the workshop for you if you are studying any of the following:
- Bachelor of Education (Primary)
- Bachelor of Education (Secondary)
- Bachelor of Educational Studies
- Bachelor of Early Childhood and Primary Education
If your course isn’t listed above, please visit the Enrolment Support webpage.
Once you have registered for this workshop, you will be emailed information about how to join.
La Trobe is running both face to face and online events and classes. Our online platform is Zoom software.
Instructions on downloading and using Zoom can be found online.
No matter what campus you will be attending, you can also search our database of Frequently Asked Questions as well as access telephone and email support from ASK La Trobe.
