Join local Balmain author Derek Mortimer for the launch of his latest book.
The stories in Vigil range in time from contemporary Australia to sixties Britain, in location from Morocco’s Atlas Mountains to France. Some of the tales are sad, some are funny. All are full of humanity and a love for life.
Derek Mortimer has lived in Balmain for over forty years. As a young man he worked in forestry in England, Canada and Australia, before settling in Sydney as a journalist and writer.
Bruce Spence is well known for his acting roles in, Mad Max, Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, Star Wars and many others.
