Join industry experts over this two-session masterclass and be inspired to create effective and engaging videos for your teaching and learning practice or your social media channels.

The explosion of digital video has changed the role of audiences and the spectatorship dynamic. This growth is compounded with the level of access and interactivity with the video medium as a whole; and user expectations for great, engaging content are higher than ever. The best videos are always the ones that immediately grab your attention, make you think, make you laugh, or cry, or elicit an emotion – and make you want to watch till the very end.

These two hands-on workshops are designed for academics and professional staff wishing to transform the use of video in their teaching and learning practice, and for communications specialists looking to improve their social media content. The workshops will give you the essential skills to explore and distil your story ideas, understand production principles, and to film, edit and produce a 1-minute video using iPads.

This is a foundation level workshop, no previous experience with filming or video editing is required.
IPads will be provided, however, you are also welcome to bring along your own device.
