The Victorian Archaeology Colloquium is an annual one-day gathering that brings together archaeologists, heritage practitioners, Traditional Owners, academics, and students for an informal discussion of the archaeology and cultural heritage of the State of Victoria.
The Colloquium is being held on Friday, the 7th of February 2025, in person and online, with all presenters invited to publish in the annual, peer-reviewed Colloquium proceedings, Excavations, Surveys, and Heritage Management in Victoria.
The Colloquium is unique in Australia, aiming for an inclusive industry and discipline and a safe place to share the latest happenings and meet people. The conference is a terrific opportunity for anyone to practice their public speaking skills and share project results that may end up in the grey literature pile.
In-person registrations include morning and afternoon tea and a buffet-style lunch. Registration for the in-person option closes Friday, 31st of January, due to catering purposes.
We pay our respects to Victoria’s First Peoples—including Elders, past and present—on whose Country archaeologists, academics, and heritage practitioners have undertaken archaeological and cultural heritage investigations.
