During our May VCE Study Club session, we will be joined by Mr Issam Kanaan. Issam teaches across a range of VCE Maths subjects and is a skilled teacher who ensures students are successful in truly understanding their subjects.
During this session, Issam will be sharing his expertise to help you excel in General Maths Unit 3 Area of Study 2: Recursion & Financial Modelling. Topics covered will include:
- Modelling linear and geometric growth and decay
- Recurrence relations (difference equations)
- Modelling simple compound interest
- Nominal and effective interest rates
- Modelling flat rate depreciation and reducing balance depreciation
- Modelling annuity investment
- Graphical summaries for all financial models discussed
- Using CAS to analyse financial models
Whilst the session is designed to cover VCE Unit 3 content, all interested senior maths students are welcome to attend.
