Our second panel is an informative discussion on how design, architecture, and the construction of schooling spaces affects and reflects social values, community life, and the interests of neighbourhoods.

This panel includes:

  • Brenda Webster Tweel (M. Arch. Senior Associate, Urban Places Stantec) Panel Chair

  • Shannon Kyles (Mohawk College), “School Architecture Through the Ages”

  • Josh Cole (Queen’s University), “Baby Boomers and the Building Boom: Post-war School Construction in Ontario”

  • Martin Kohn (Kohn Shnier Architects), “Designing Schools for Today and Tomorrow”


Refreshments at 6:30 pm. Event starts at 7 pm

Parking is scarce due to a popular event at the Distillery District, so please give yourself extra time if you plan to drive.
