VALD Testing Workshop for Podiatry Students

VALD Testing Workshop for Podiatry Students

Melbourne Podiatry Clinic EssendonEssendon, VIC
Saturday, Mar 21 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm
Overview

Hands-on VALD force plate training for final year pod students. Learn to measure strength, interpret data & elevate sports podiatry skills.

This in-person VALD session is designed specifically for final-year podiatry students who want to bridge the gap between university theory and real-world clinical practice.

You’ll learn how to use VALD force plates to objectively assess calf strength, power, and asymmetries, and understand how to interpret the data in a meaningful way. We’ll show you how strength testing integrates into sports podiatry consults, how it guides treatment planning, and how it helps you confidently track progress and return-to-play decisions.

Beyond just learning the tech, you’ll develop clinical reasoning skills around load management, performance deficits, and measurable outcomes.

By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with practical, hands-on experience and a clearer understanding of how data-driven assessment can elevate your confidence as a graduate clinician and set you apart in sports and performance podiatry.
