Frequently asked questions

Is this course only for people who work in Government?

Not at all! During the design sprint, we align the terminology and language with the DTA's Digital Service Standard. We highlight and outline the preferred human-centred design methods that the DTA encourages for anyone working on Government websites.

Can I pay by invoice?

Yes, you can. After you select your tickets, choose the option to 'Pay by invoice' and you will be emailed the invoice. You can then give this to your accounts area or manager to process the payment via EFT. Note a 1.9% credit card fee applies if you want to pay the invoice with a credit card.

I need to get approval - how do I lock in the 'Early Bird' price?

Unfortunately, we don't hold spots or early bird tickets until you register so we encourage you to seek approval based on the full fee ticket price. If you have in-principal approval and are waiting for official approval you can register using 'Pay by invoice'. A 1.9% credit card fee may apply.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes, when you register for our in-person course we will ask you for your dietary requirements and do our best to cater for these. We will also send a reminder just prior to the event to make sure we have captured any changes to your dietary needs. No additional charge for dietary requirements.

Do I need some prior knowledge of UX to undertake this course?

We have had complete beginners as well as advanced UX practitioners complete our course and they all give us good course ratings. While it will help if you have experience or qualifications in either IT, digital, market research, psychology, social research or marketing, it is not essential.

What if I am sick during the design sprint? What is your COVID policy?

If you are unable to attend for health reasons, including COVID, please refer to our terms and conditions: https://www.peakxd.com.au/terms-and-conditions-ux-course-in-person-training/.

Do you offer a team discount if we have several people wanting to attend?

Yes, you can get a Team Ticket if you have 4 or more people wanting to attend. The team ticket allows you to buy 4 tickets for the price of 3.  If you have more than 8 people interested in attending, you may also consider in-house training as a cost-effective approach. Contact us for details.

When will I get access to the training portal and online video lessons?

People who purchase the optional 'Digital Options Upgrade' ticket, will be sent an email with portal login details with access to the video lessons and templates on the first day of the 2-day design sprint.
