About this event

This full day workshop aims to bridge disciplinary divides in critically debating the reciprocal relationship between creativity and the built environment, which is ever more complex and fluid during (and post) the pandemic. It will provide a venue for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to theorise and operationalise their interfaces across multiple scales, geographies, methodologies, and temporalities.

The workshop includes a keynote presentation from Professor Sharon Zukin, who will revisit SoHo in lower Manhattan, an artist district that inspired her seminal book 'Loft Living'.

Renowned plenary speakers from North America, Europe, Asia, and Australasia will further explore and debate the workshop's major themes across four sessions on:

• Innovation influencers

• Future making

• Design sustainability

• Creativity in the making

Please note:

This workshop will be held in‐person in the Japanese Room, Level 4, Glyn Davis Building, University of Melbourne (45 seats only), and also streamed online via Zoom webinar - please ensure you select your preferred ticket type when registering.

Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon will be provided for all in-person attendees. Registrations are essential.
