Upskilling for Commercial Sales & Leasing Professionals - SANDHURST
A full-day practical workshop building confidence in commercial sales, leasing, deal structure, numbers & risk for regional & metro agents.
UPSKILLING FOR COMMERCIAL SALES & LEASING PROFESSIONALS
A Full-Day Practical Workshop for Regional & Metro Property Professionals
Commercial sales and leasing demand far more than simply matching tenants to properties or buyers to yields. The real skill sits beneath the deal, in the numbers, the lease mechanics, the legal obligations, and the way commercial terms are structured, negotiated and communicated.
Many agents step into commercial without the foundational training they actually need. One day they’re assisting with a leasing enquiry; the next they’re expected to analyse leases, explain risk to buyers, negotiate incentives, manage heads of agreement, and prepare commercially sound documentation. This workshop brings the whole commercial landscape into focus.
Upskilling for Commercial Sales & Leasing Professionals is a full-day, in-person practical workshop delivered by Wendy Thomson of the Australian Academy of Property, Sangeeta Thaker of the Property Law Academy, Joel Rauer of CBRE, and Sonia Hunyadi.
Together, the presenters combine deep operational experience, specialist legal insight, senior-level commercial property expertise, and risk-aware communication skills. The workshop focuses on real-world scenarios, practical frameworks and commercially grounded decision-making, not theory for theory’s sake.
Designed specifically for regional practitioners, this workshop reflects the reality of working across sales and leasing, multiple asset classes and limited internal resources. It provides the practical tools, guidance and examples agents need to build capability, reduce uncertainty and deliver stronger commercial outcomes for their clients.
Additional Power Session: Minimising Risk in Written Communication
As part of the program, the workshop includes a focused 30-minute Power Session on minimising risk in written communication.
In commercial sales and leasing, poorly worded emails, notices or correspondence can unintentionally bind deals, escalate disputes or expose agencies to liability. This session focuses on writing with clarity, intent and audience awareness to reduce ambiguity and protect both the transaction and the agency.
