About this event

Our data shows that total extractions in your water source may exceed the groundwater extraction limits by the end of the current water year. Should this occur the department may need to reduce access to groundwater at the start of 2021-22 water year. Your water source is therefore a priority area for us to seek comment on the best method or combination of methods to return average extraction to the limit. The methods are:

  • reduce the amount of water going into accounts (known as an available water determination)
  • reduce the amount of water that users can take or trade from accounts (known as a maximum water account debit).

To ensure we are COVID-19-safe, it is essential that each person planning to attend registers. Spaces are limited. If you are not registered, you may not be able to enter the information session due to social distancing requirements.

We will be checking temperatures and ensuring social distancing onsite.

If there is a heightened COVID-19 risk at the time of the information sessions, we may move them to an online platform.
