About this event

  • 5 hours

Embark on a journey of creativity and sustainability at our Upcycle textiles with loom weaving workshop. Led by the crafty facilitator, Bonnie Herft, this workshop is a celebration of the art of weaving, where discarded or repurposed textiles find new life in the hands of eager creators.

Join Bonnie as she guides you through the techniques and skills needed to transform old fabric remnants into woven creations.

This hands-on workshop is not just about weaving; it's about reimagining the potential of every thread. Bring your creativity and witness the magic of turning forgotten textiles into unique, eco-friendly masterpieces. Each woven piece becomes a testament to the beauty of renewal and the power of creative sustainability.

The Tinkerage is a reuse and repair space located inside Reviva Dunmore at Dunmore Recycling & Waste Disposal Depot. The Tinkerage and its workshops are made possible by the generous support of Shellharbour City Council and Resource Recovery Australia.

The Tinkerage is a safe and fun learning environment with a focus on reuse and repair skills. For safety reasons, The Tinkerage workshops are for 16 years and over or over 13 years if accompanied by an adult.

Participants must wear enclosed shoes.

Tickets: The Tinkerage workshops are free for residents of the Shellharbour City Council local government area. A $40 participation fee applies for non-Shellharbour City Council residents, this is payable on the day of the workshop.
