Event description

Description

2018 National Reconciliation Week theme is “Don’t keep history a mystery”.

The theme of the week is designed to invite all Australians to learn, share and grow by exploring our past, learning more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures, and developing a deeper understanding of our national story.

Chancellery Human Resource’s will be hosting a panel discussion focused on the theme “Don’t keep history a mystery” to recognise National Reconciliation Week.

The panel will explore the power of our Indigenous history and how it has shaped the individuals on the panel. Panellists will bring an external voice to the University and will share their history, culture and how their heritage has shaped them and what it means to be an Indigenous person in today’s context. Along with internal voices sharing what learning and experiences they've had and how it will shape their engagement and networks moving forward.

Please join us for this event and hear from our panellists:

Atlantic Fellow - Leanne Miller

Joan Kirner Young & Emerging Women Leader - Maddison Miller

Joan Kirner Young & Emerging Women Leader - Melissa Saunders

Jawun Secondee, General Counsel and Executive Director Legal & Risk at UoM - Kylie Gould
