Celebrate Lunar New Year with cultural activities, festive décor, and shared moments that bring staff together.

The MHEDIC Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Network invites Faculty of Medicine and Health staff to come together to celebrate the Lunar New Year in a warm, inclusive, and festive setting. This event marks the beginning of the new year creating an opportunity to connect, reflect, and celebrate as a community.

The celebration will feature interactive cultural activities including a Chinese calligraphy station, red envelopes (hongbao) with positive messages or a small surprise, fortune cookies, and a collaborative vision board where staff can share New Year wishes, goals, and aspirations.


Staff are encouraged to wear red to embrace Lunar New Year traditions symbolising prosperity and positive energy.

BYO lunch. Light snacks and festive treats will be provided to complement your meal and enhance the celebration.
