Following a successful series of workshops in 2024, Australian Industry Group will be running a new workshop for employers in Gladstone.
Employers are now seeing the impact of multiple changes made to Australia’s employment laws over the last few years. Courts and tribunals are clarifying what the laws mean in practice as they resolve disputes involving the amended laws.
This workshop explores deeper insights about:
- Wage theft, underpayments and record keeping– the criminal and civil consequences for breaching pay and record keeping obligations
- Key award compliance issues – a closer look at award obligations and the impact of recent developments, such as the Federal Court’s decision involving the Fair Work Ombudsman, Coles and Woolworths
- Delegate’s rights and right of entry – understanding the new delegate’s rights modern award term and practical implications for workplace communication and culture
