Working photographers looking to increase their confidence and skill shooting in the studio using strobe lighting. This workshop is suitable for photographers who have some experience with strobe lighting and want to increase their skills and also for photographers who’ve never shot using strobe lighting before.

Classes are limited to 10 people, which means you’ll get a chance for 1:1 advice and focus – so whether you are a beginner or even established in the industry, you’ll be inspired and have the opportunity to expand your skills.

- Safely set up a strobe light on a stand and apply power to it.
- Describe the various light modifiers and the effect they have on the projection of light.
- Light a subject using three point lighting.
- Create a high key ecommerce look by controlling the amount of light falling on the background.
- Create a low key dramatic look by controlling the amount of light falling on the background.

We will be meeting at Desk and Studio , 460a Parramatta Rd, Petersham NSW. Entrance is on Queen Street, Petersham.
What To Bring
- Digital SLR camera
- All the lenses you own – 50mm-85mm range is great, but no problem to bring what's currently in your kit
- Batteries (spares if you have them) and battery chargers
- Memory cards
- Instruction manual for your camera (if you can find it!)
If you do not have any of the items listed above, please let us know and we may be able to provide you with a camera to use on the day.
Your Facilitator
Lyn Taylor is an award-winning photographer with 20 years of experience in portrait, commercial, fashion and editorial photography, but she also has become most recognisable for her portraits of musicians, artists and comedians. Lyn’s photography has featured on album covers from Australia's leading country music artists such as Catherine Britt, Amber Lawrence and Christy Lamb and has been featured in some of Australia’s leading publications.
