This conference brings together academics, researchers, teachers, and students of different disciplines to discover new information and recent developments concerning Indonesia. It provides a forum for informative exchanges on different perspectives, interests and ideas.
The first day of the conference will be academic in nature and covers topics concerning politics, governance, history, religion, law, and anthropology, to engage in inter-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary dialogues that will add to our understanding of what Indonesia may mean for people today, particularly in northern Australia.

High school teachers and students, as well as members of the public, who may not normally be involved in academic conferences, are invited to attend the two-day gathering.
