About this event

The City of Perth Library and Dementia Australia invite you to a free, introductory talk about dementia.

The session will provide an overview of the different types of dementia, diagnosis, planning ahead and advice about supporting someone living with dementia.

The session will also cover:

• What is dementia? Is it different to Alzheimer’s?

• Why does behaviour change?

• What is my risk?

• How do I reduce my risk?

• What services and support are available?

This presentation is suitable for people who have a recent diagnosis, their family, friends, and anyone with an interest in dementia. This program is not suitable for professionals employed in the health or aged care sectors.
