About this event

The Child Development Institute specialise in early intervention for children aged 2-5 years with ASD or Developmental Delays.

We would like to invite up to 5 educators from your centre to attend a PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP to learn:

How to promote communication between Autistic children and their peers

  • Understand the mismatch between social communication expectations and realities for Autistic children.
  • Observe communication bids to understand not fix or change.
  • Support peers to communicate with their Autistic friends.

The workshop will be run by our Head Speech Pathologist, Danielle Stark, who works with young Autistic children both in a clinic setting and in a social group setting.

We look forward to sharing tools and strategies with you to promote inclusion of any child with autism or developmental delay.

Parking is available on site and light refreshments will be served.
