This introductory workshop provides participants with the tools to appropriately respond to a disclosure of sexual harm (including sexual assault, sexual harassment, and other forms of sexual misconduct) and other experiences of interpersonal violence (including family or intimate partner violence, and child abuse).

This workshop will build participants’ capability to both understand, and comply with, legislative and organisational responsibilities in relation to disclosures of sexual harm. The session explores four key topics:

  • Understanding the drivers of interpersonal violence;
    • Recognising sexual harm and interpersonal violence;
    • Responding appropriately to a disclosure; and
    • Reporting obligations and referral options when you have received a disclosure of sexual harm or interpersonal violence.
