The Leadership in Healthy Ageing team is proud to present 'Understanding Ageing', a short course delivered via the Open Learning platform.

Event Program

  • Welcome and Acknowledgement of Country - Dr Belinda Cash, lecturer in Gerontology.
  • Opening address - Professor John Germov, Acting Vice Chancellor.
  • Official Launch - Dr Helen Haines, Federal Member for Indi.
  • Course Overview - Ms Robin Harvey, Course facilitator and lecturer in Gerontology.
  • Age Friendly Communities - Dr Kathleen Brasher, consultant to the World Health Organization.

This event will be hosted via Zoom videoconferencing. Zoom meeting details will be distributed to ticket holders from Monday 20th July.

Chat will be open and there will be an opportunity to present questions to us and our guests.

Course Information

'Understanding Ageing' is a free, self-paced short course open to everyone. Whether you are an older person bringing your own rich experiences of growing older, a family member looking to understand more about ageing, or working in a related industry this program will enable you to explore and extend your understanding of ageing.
