Understand Trauma, Understand Mental Health

Join us for the 2024 Woodcock Public Lecture, hosted by Wellways Australia.

How well do you understand trauma in the context of mental health?

This year's Lecture is an insightful learning journey about the transformational power of understanding trauma. Led by a panel of Lived Experience experts, we will unpack ‘trauma’ from a consumer and carer/family perspective.

Our keynote speakers both bring a combination of lived and living experience and governance level expertise and insights from within the mental health sector.

We are thrilled to announce our 2024 Woodcock Lecture speakers as:

  • Maggie Toko - Mental Health and Wellbeing Commissioner and lived/living experience consumer.
  • Kerry Hawkins - National Mental Health Commissioner and Vice Chair of Mental Health Carers Australia.
  • Claire Conlon - National Manager Advocacy, Polciy and Research at Wellways

All ticket holders attending the event in-person are asked to bring their ticket QR code to show at the door. This can be saved on your phone, a screenshot, or printed out.
