The City of Stonnington is hosting two presentations delivered by Services Australia and Elder Rights Australia this February.
Join us as experienced facilitators deliver important aged care information to you and help you to improve your understanding of how My Aged Care is funded and what services are available.
Session 1: Services Australia - 5th of February 1:30pm-2:30pm
- Did you know that Services Australia has dedicated roles to support you as a participant in the aged care system? An Aged Care Specialists Officer (ACSO) will cover topics including participant contributions, financial hardship eligibility and how ACSOs can provide information and support.
Session 2: Elder Rights Australia - 12th of February 1:30pm-2:30pm
- Elder Rights Australia (ERA) provide information, advocacy, and social support to people seeking access to or using residential or in-home aged care services. A facilitator will discuss ERA's role, the National Aged Care Advocacy Program, the Statement of Rights, and the complaints process in the aged care system.
The presentations will run for 60-90 minutes and you will have the opportunity ask questions. Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided during the sessions. Parking is available on the premises.
