Come join us for an amazing night of fun and entertainment in an effort to raise money for research and awareness for Type 1 diabetes. All funds raised on the night will go to JDRF Australia who are the leading supporter of type 1 diabetes research here in Australia and around the world. Their vision? A world without type 1 diabetes.

What is Type 1 Diabetes?
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune condition where the body’s own immune system is activated to destroy the beta cells in the pancreas which produce insulin. Insulin is a vital component for life and therefore must be administered exogenously via injections or a pump. Insulin, however, is not a cure it is a lifeline. T1D is a chronic autoimmune disease that can develop at any age, it is not preventable, and right now there is no known cure. Affecting 130,000+ Australians, with 2,900+ children and adults newly diagnosed each year. Some days are better than others – but there is never a day off. T1D is with people every waking (and sleeping) moment of their lives, this impact can be deep and long-lasting for those living with T1D and their carers.
